Racing
At Borelli Motor Sports, racing is in our DNA. Chairman and CEO Ralph Borelli and General Manager Addison Lee are avid race car drivers, whose passion for motor sports fuels the unique capabilities that make Borelli Motor Sports the headquarters for all things racing in Northern California.
The Racer's Advantage
Borelli Motor Sports' technicians are experts at prepping cars for any type of driving-day event and providing on-track support services to keep you running. Whether you need a street car safely prepared for track duty or a race car tuned for a particular competition, we can provide what you need.
- Chris Drysdale is an expert at the customizing and fabrication of race cars. As both a former driver and pro pit crew chief, Chris knows racing from the inside out. He has built a number of cars and trucks from the ground up, and his years of crewing experience are invaluable for any driver - from the weekend enthusiast to the most dedicated professional.
- David Graff is a specialist who can dial in the suspension of any car for open-track driving or autocross on Borelli Motor Sports' wheel alignment and suspension-tuning rack.
- Scott Riechers' impeccable credentials range from rebuilding engines to handling any type of maintenance or repair work on tires and brakes, transmissions and clutches, fuel injection and carburetion, or electrical systems.

- No-hassle transportation - Borelli can trailer your cars to and from the track, saving you time and effort. We can also get you there in a hurry with our "Fly and Drive" options.
- At the track, we'll provide the professional support you need - monitoring tire pressures and temperature, checking your brakes and fluid levels, and inspecting nuts and bolts.
- Traqmate data acquisition devices are available for rent, enabling you to use high-speed GPS and high-resolution accelerometers to track and analyze the speed of your car and how you handled the forces acting on it.
- Trackside hospitality - Nobody provides a better driving-day experience than Borelli Motor Sports. From a place to relax and have a bite to eat between sessions to end-of-day celebrations that last long into the evening, Borelli's luxury motor coach can provide your group with unbeatable trackside hospitality.
- Professional coaching is available from a broad selection of professional drivers such as Max Hyatt, Perry Richardson or Addison Lee.
In the Driver's Seat
Borelli Motor Sports serves drivers ranging from rookies preparing for their first track-driving day experience to serious amateurs, some with years of professional race car driving experience. Matt Warwick and Bob Lavinia are two examples of drivers whom we take great pride in serving.
Matt is one of the founders of Planet Orange - the original orange oil termite company - and now also runs Precious Metal Motorsports, his own company located at Club Auto Sport that rebuilds vintage vehicles to be driven on the road as well as at the track. Matt worked closely with Borelli Motor Sports to customize his 600 horsepower Raptor Ford truck to get it in incredible racing shape. He also owns and drives a 1968 Plymouth GTX, a 1969 Camaro SS and a BMW e30 M3 spec race car - among others.
Bob Lavinia - who was a long-time executive in the oil industry - owns and drives more than a dozen vintage cars. This includes several fully restored vintage NASCAR race cars, including the 1994 #43 STP Pontiac Grand Prix car originally driven by racing legend Richard Petty. Bob resides in Arizona, but often comes to race on Northern California's challenging tracks such as Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Infineon Raceway and Thunderhill. Bob relies on Borelli Motor Sports to help prep his cars and provide the trackside support required on race days.
Dynamic Duo
Ralph and his Club Auto Sport co-founder and co-managing partner, John Davis, have spent many exciting hours at the track over the years.
Ralph holds a vintage racing license issued by the Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA), and is also a member of the Green Flag Driving Association and the Nor-Cal Shelby Club. He drives the #22-Maxwell House car - a vintage 1991 Ford Thunderbird, which raced on the Winston Cup circuit from 1991 to 1993, and captured the pole position at the Daytona 500 in 1992. Ralph has restored the car to its original racing condition and races it in Historic Stock Car Racing Series (HSCRS) events up and down the West Coast.
Ralph and John are also taking to the track with a dynamic duo of fully restored vintage race cars: a pair of 1984 Lola-Mazda T-616 GTP cars. These sleek, rotary-powered, 300 horsepower cars made motor sports history in 1984 when they carried the BF Goodrich-Mazda-Jim Busby team to the first-ever win for a Japanese manufacturer at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Catch Ralph and John behind the wheel of the #67 and #68 Lola-Mazdas at a number of famous tracks on the West Coast.
Driven to Help
Borelli Motor Sports and Borelli Investment Company have been driving forces behind the HSCRS Ride of Your Life - an opportunity to experience the thrill of auto racing first-hand, while contributing to many worthwhile causes. Rides in Ralph's #22 Maxwell House car have been donated for a number of auctions held by schools and charitable organizations to help raise needed funds. Borelli Investment Company also offers special rides from time to time to brokers and other business associates as promotional incentives.
