Keeping On Track with Borelli Motor Sports

If you know Ralph Borelli, you know that he’s not only the driving force behind Borelli Motor Sports — he’s just plain passionate about driving. He holds a vintage racing license, issued by the Sports Car Club of America, and is also a member of the Green Flag Driving Association and the Nor-Cal Shelby Club.

NASCAR and GTP Cars

In 2009, Ralph and Club Auto Sport Co-Founder John Davis will be on the track often, with a busy schedule of events. Ralph will be driving two different cars at the various events

• His own #22-Maxwell House car — a fully restored 1991 Ford Thunderbird, which raced on the Winston Cup circuit from 1991 to 1993, and captured the pole position at the Daytona 500 in 1992.
• The #67 Lola-Mazda T-616 GTP car. One of a pair of rotary-powered, 300 horsepower 1984 Lolas owned by John Davis, these cars made motor sports history in 1984 when they carried the BF Goodrich-Mazda-Jim Busby team to the first-ever win for a Japanese manufacturer at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Catch Ralph in the #22 Maxwell House car at Historic Stock Car Racing Series (HSCRS) races throughout the West, and at a number of races featuring Ralph and John in the restored Lola GTP cars.
